The owners of these residences used Solaroll Shutters to shield enormous expanses of glass from afternoon sun. Also for security and storm protection. Although the home is equipped with a sophisticated alarm system, Solaroll provides a physical barrier that an alarm system simply cannot duplicate. The installation was planned while the home was in the design stage. Careful coordination between the architect and Solaroll resulted in this perfect example of a built-in system. Shutter housings were incorporated into the soffit area and the tracks were color-matched and aligned with window frames and mullions.

For La Mer Condominium, Solaroll was combined with a screen wall and railing system to create a uniquely integrated package for the balcony perimeters. The residents now enjoy a screened balcony with the option of shielding it from the elements at a moment's notice. The system not only serves a functional purpose, but significantly influences the aesthetics of the entire structure. The color selected by the developer creates a striking effect. La Mer literally changes color from a predominance of off white to yellow as dictated by weather conditions and time of day.
